You Lost Me (Edit)
Glitch and granular effects created with custom Max/MSP patches are applied throughout the track, intentionally chopping up the sound. The resulting dense texture creates a character that is very different from the original version. It has been available exclusively on Bandcamp and SoundCloud since its single release.
Lyrics
You Lost Me
何処へ行く 何処へ行く 不確かな優越感 隙が見えてる 削がれた後から行け 派手に売る良心で 目を醒ます 虚ろに問う影 足元を見ろ 継ぎ足す言葉が 震えている よこしまな声を聞け

Intro
“You Lost Me” is an uptempo single released on February 14, 2019, with a shoegaze/dream-pop feel, built from an ensemble of distorted and clean guitars, quick drums, and layered vocals. It is the first release since “Snowfall” in December 2018, and stands out for its sound where sharp and soft tones live side by side.
Note
Originally written around 2009, this track is built around a guitar phrase that strongly reflects otom’s habits at the time. Distorted and clean guitars sway together over a light, uptempo beat, joined by layered vocals. The second half moves toward a more saturated wall of sound, adding another shift in energy. Glitch textures made with custom Max/MSP patches, often used at the time, appear throughout and give the mix a unique feel. The bass lines also carry a touch typical of otom, and the overall sound still holds the atmosphere of the works that had a strong influence back then. The cover photo was taken long ago in Kitanomaru Park, a picture kept aside for many years.
Outro
Guitar performances are joined by sounds from custom Max patches in “You Lost Me”. What did you say?… Yeah, I know, of course I love that song. Enjoy.
“You Lost Me” is available on major streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music, and high-quality versions can be purchased on Bandcamp.
