Intro

“Snowfall” is a single by otom, released on December 20, 2018, written in the quiet that feels as if the sound of a snowy day has disappeared. It is otom’s first release since “Normalize” in October 2018. Tape-like, drifting guitars and soft, whispering vocals overlap like a small choir, creating a gentle, floating mood. Gentle piano phrases sit close beside them, adding a faint sense of space. The result is a calm, mid-tempo single that leaves a soft afterglow.

Note

This mid-tempo track features guitars that wobble like tape flutter and soft, whispering vocals layered like a small choir. It was originally written around 2009 but remained unreleased, and for this single it was rebuilt with new Japanese lyrics. The drums, programmed with a lazy, slow-moving beat, add a unique sense of drift to the song. The mix and mastering took time and effort, but the track was shaped carefully, detail by detail.
